FAB Dual Repair Skincare: What I Think and How You Can Win It!

If you follow my blog you know that I’ve been using the new First Aid Beauty (FAB) Dual Repair Collection for the past few weeks (you can read about my love affair with FAB here) and I can say that we’re breaking new ground here.  My bitchy sensitive skin hasn’t had a single tantrum from the active ingredients (a definite first) and I’m already seeing results! (And by “results” I mean good results, not “I want to hide my face in a ski mask” results)

What Makes the FAB Dual Repair Products So Special?

Every other anti-aging product I’ve tried had aggressive ingredients that made my skin a red, angry mess that would often result in irritated dry patches, whiteheads (ugly!!!) and more bumps than Lindsey Lohan at a nightclub.  Oh and by the way, for you ladies who think that the above “results” means that a product is working, all that irritation can age you faster!

The FAB products actually treat the sensitivity and strengthen your skin’s barrier while treating dull skin, wrinkles and uneven skin tone (hence the “dual” repair — reducing sensitivity/strengthening skin’s barrier and anti-aging). By improving the underlying condition of the skin, the aging process is delayed, skin looks and feels healthier and appears more youthful.

The Products

First Aid Beauty Dual Repair Power Serum ($48): A light cream-borderline-gel consistency, this serum absorbed quickly and contains such powerhouse ingredients like:

Astaxanthin: Powerful antioxidant derived from micro-algae to reduce over stimulation of the nerves and combat oxidative damage.
SymCalmin: Helps to calm and soothe inflamed skin.
Argireline: A hexapeptide that helps to minimize wrinkle formation and strengthen the skin.
Lana Blue: An extract of blue algae that minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I use this serum both AM and PM after toner and before any moisturizers.

First Aid Beauty Dual Repair Eye Cream ($40): I love the creamy texture which creates a smooth canvas for my concealer.  In addition to the Astaxanthin, SymCalmin and Argireline found in the serum, the Dual Repair Eye Cream is boosted with sodium phytate and glucosyl hesperidin to reduce the look of puffiness and undereye circles. I use the eye cream both AM and PM.

First Aid Beauty Dual Repair Face Cream ($44): When I saw that the cream came in a jar I was a little worried it would be too heavy for everyday use.  Au contraire, the light creamy (almost gel-like) moisturizer goes on smooth and absorbs quickly. In fact, it’s so light and contains all the powerhouse anti-agers and anti-sensitivity ingredients as the serum, I’m positive I’ll be using the Dual Repair Face Cream year-round.

The Results and the Giveaway!

After three weeks of using all the products consistently, I’ve definitely noticed that my skin is brighter, more even and MUCH smoother.

I’m also seeing that my pores and broken capillaries are looking less pronounced.  Something else I love?  All three products are under $50!  But why even pay the money when you can win the products for free? I am co-hosting a Dual Repair Sweepstakes with FAB in celebration of the launch of the Dual Repair Age Delay Collection. The FABulous prize? A $500 FAB Shopping Spree AND the complete Dual Repair Collection including the Face Cream, Power Serum and Eye Cream! That is $632 in prizes!

You can enter the contest once (if you enter more than once, only one of your entries will be counted and we will be genuinely disappointed in you for trying to cheat):
